THE ARREST OF THE ACCUSED DRUG TRAFFICKING LEADER DREW DALY AND AT LEAST 20 OTHERS WHO LAW ENFORCEMENT SAY WERE CONNECTED TO FENTANYL TRAFFICKING. SO THROUGH OUR HEADS UP HE GOES. THE PLAYER OFF GUARD TOWARD THE INVESTIGATION WAS SO MASSIVE THAT LAW ENFORCEMENT, NOT ONLY IN VOLUSIA COUNTY, BUT PORT ORANGE NEW SMYRNA BEACH, EDGEWATER AND HOLLY HILL PITCHED IN THESE DRUG TRAFFIC HOURS, WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR DISTRIBUTING KILO AMOUNTS OF FENTANYL IN VALENCIA AND LAKE COUNTY ON A MONTHLY BASIS. WE SEIZED 2300 GRAMS OF FENTANYL MATHEMATICALLY, THAT EQUATES TO OVER 1.5 MILLION DOSES THAT HIT THE STREETS OF OUR COMMUNITY. INVESTIGATORS SAY THEY ALSO FOUND HEROIN METH, MDMA, OPIOID PILLS, COCAINE AND OVER $100,000 DROPPING OUT ON THE GROUND HERE. BUT. Volusia County sheriff announces major fentanyl trafficking drug bust
Dozens of people are now in jail after a massive drug bust in Central Florida.Law enforcement officials in Volusia and Lake counties say they took down a drug trafficking organization responsible for more than a million doses of fentanyl.This is what law the multiple agencies involved in the five-month investigation known as Operation Daly Dose, had been working toward arrests.The arrests of the accused drug trafficking leader Drew Daly and at least 20 others who law enforcement says were connected to fentanyl trafficking.Chitwood says there were more than 40 arrests in all.The investigation was so massive that not only law enforcement in Volusia County but also Lake County, New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater, Ormond Beach, South Daytona, Holly Hill, and Port Orange pitched in."These drug traffickers were responsible for distributing kilo amounts of fentanyl in Volusia and Lake County on a monthly basis," Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood said. "We seized 2,300 grams of fentanyl.
