What is the max leader level cap in Stellaris? ›

By default, leaders start at level 1 and can increase to level 5. The skill level cap can be increased to a max level of 10 through various traditions, traits, civics, and the leader enhancement policy.

Leaders tend to get traits related to their current assignment. Leaders have a Maximum Negative Traits number of 4 at base.

As long as they are assigned they don't cost anything whether over the cap or not. On top of that, choosing the transcendent learning ascension perk you get 2 additional leader slots *and* + 33% leader experience gain.

Maximum Naval Capacity may never exceed 9999 but empires can still build over it as long as their economy supports the upkeep costs. Titans have a strict build limit, with a base of 1 allowed per empire; every 200 Naval Capacity increases an empire's Titan cap by 1, up to a maximum of 20 Titans at 3800 naval capacity.

Pops start to decline when a planet is 25% overcrowded. Planet capacity is capped at 500, regardless of free housing or unblocked districts. Pops can go over 500 and will not stop growing (or decline) until the required housing exceeds available housing by 15% (or 25%).

Players take the role of a single FTL-capable civilization, referred to as an empire, with the goal of exploring and claiming systems, colonizing habitable planets, and expanding their economy to outcompete rival civilizations progressively encountered through first contact events.

The easiest way is to play a Progenitor Hive, do the Discovery Tradition first, and take the Transcendent Learning perk. Progenitor leaders gain exp every month (I'm pretty sure), Discovery adds +25% exp gain and TL gives a 50% boost. Hives also start their leaders really young, so you have more time to level them.

Machine leaders have a starting age of 5-10 years, a base lifespan of 100 years (robots have a base of 80 years), and are affected by lifespan boosting effects. "Eternal Machine", the Machine variant of "Venerable", makes your leaders of that species immortal rather than increasing lifespan.

Main Battle fleet = 1 titan, 10-12 Battleships (mostly X mount with a few artillery and carriers mixed in), 12-16 cruisers (almost entirely torp cruisers with a few other models mixed in, like an energy cruiser or an escort carrier) and 12-16 destroyers (mix of gunships and escorts, maybe a few artillery if you want).

Like many 4x Games, bigger is always better in Stellaris, and battleships are indeed better. Battleships are the true heavy-hitters of any fleet, and will quickly become the backbone of an empire.

Technologies are divided into 6 tiers (T0 to T5) of advancement. Higher tier technologies require obtaining a certain number of technologies from the preceding tier in the same area of research (set at 6 for all tiers) before they become available as research alternatives.

The base maximum infiltration level is 50. Maximum infiltration can also be increased by various factors, as shown in the table on the right, as well as the Gather Information operation, which temporarily raises the maximum infiltration level by +5 (stackable to a maximum of +20).

Cohesion ranges from -100 to 100. Each month, you'll gain (or lose) 10% of that value as XP. In order for your federation to reach maximum level, you'll need to accumulate 18000 XP. If you run those numbers, that means that it takes at least 150 in-game years to reach maximum level with your federation.
